Welcome to the world! Our Horse Drawn Okanagan family is expanding with the recent birth of this precious foal. In the midst of challenging times right now we are happy to share the good news.

Meet our big healthy Shire colt! Shires and Clydesdales look very much alike but the Shire horse can come in a variety of colours including grey (that is pretty rare in a Clyde). Shires are an English breed of draft horse and Clydesdales are Scottish - let's not go there, lol! Shires hold records for some of the tallest horses in the world. Unfortunately, the breed is now considered endangered which makes the arrival of this colt very special. This little guy was born bay but only time will tell what his true colour will be. We can't wait to watch this little guy turn into a big guy over the next few years. We promise to share more photos and videos along the way. And the good news is, the owners (Mike and Marion) bred 2 mares this year, and there will be another little Shire coming soon!!!
